Join us as a People Team Apprentice and get stuck into all things HR! as our People Team Apprentice, you’ll get the chance to work across all the key areas of our HR team. You’ll spend time in our core People Team, learning how we support employees every day our Learning & Development supporting training and growth and in Recruitment helping to bring in new talent. It’s a hands-on, supportive role where you’ll build real experience and discover what part of HR excites you most—all while earning and learning.
Main Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries; verbally or in-person
- Assist in the administration of HR related documentation, such as letters, contracts of employment, leavers and pension information
- Update the relevant HR database to ensure the data is accurate and complies with relevant legislation including payroll data and contact information
- Assist the HR Advisor with daily absence reporting for the group of businesses
- Assist in the on-boarding process of new employees
- Assist with Learning and Development
- Assist with administration and reporting
- Process starters and leavers, issue ID cards, references request’s and keep trackers up to date.
- Take minutes and record meetings where appropriate
- Assist in the collation of data for HR reports and management information
- Support the HR team in all areas as and when requested
- Any other duties within reasonable request.
Training and Development:
You will be guided in your learning journey, helping develop your skills and industry knowledge. The company has successfully grown its work force through the Apprenticeship Scheme. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship full training and support will be provided over the apprenticeship course with the opportunity to further your career within the company afterwards.
Requirement to be considered:
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s (Grades 4 – 9) including Maths and English being essential
- Willingness to work towards CIPD Level 3
- Previous experience in an office / telephone-based environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and other teams within the department
- Experience of Microsoft Office is essential
- A high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
