Position: Project Manager
Location: Fleetwood, Lancashire
Grade/Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000
We have another brand new vacancy, we have a new role for a forward thinking and dynamic Project Manager to join the team based at our offices in Fleetwood, Blackpool.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining required quality standards, and adhering to budget constraints.
This role encompasses coordinating the assessment and delivery phases of projects, collaborating with business analysts, subject matter experts, technical staff, and often third-party consultants.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Develop, initiate, and oversee project plans, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Define and monitor project scope, goals, and deliverables to support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet required quality standards, comply with policies, and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Track and report on project performance, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, including risks, issues, and progress. Facilitate meetings and create reports to communicate updates effectively.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, and progress reports, updating as needed.
- Analyse business practices, procedures, and systems usage, documenting current processes and business needs.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate on potential solutions, and design optimized future-state systems, processes, and working practices.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and create functional specifications, leading to comprehensive business cases for change.
- Support the Head of Change and Delivery in managing the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Uphold and promote PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project management frameworks, tools, and templates.
Requirements to be considered:
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable; solid working knowledge is acceptable.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience with proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or sales/Call centre sectors is advantageous.
- Experience in business analysis and process improvement is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Excel and MS Project.
- Understanding of Agile project management methodologies. Working knowledge is ideal.
